Itinerary
After breakfast in Kigali, our professional driver guide will pick you up and drive you to Nyungwe
national park on your way you will have chance to visit the traditional Rwanda King’s palace
Museum in Nyanza and also the Ethnographic Museum in Huye, later your driver guide will take
you to Nyungwe National Park. Nyungwe has a wide variety of animal species where it contains
thirteen different primate species, 275 bird species, 85 mammal species, 32 amphibian, and 38
reptile species. At your arrival, you will check-in a hotel, have your refreshment and overnight.
Overnight stay at Nyungwe Top Hill View. (Meal plan: Bed and Breakfast
Rise very early, breakfast at the resort and transferred to the park offices for briefing before your
guided trek. You will enter into the forest when its dark, but you will be able to see primate species
such as Colobus Monkeys, Forest Birds; later, you will be able to see the Chimpanzees when its
already daytime. After the chimpanzee trekking, you will be embarking on the Canopy Walkway.
The Canopy walkway consists of three bridges and three towers and is a total length of the
walkway is 160m. The walkway is embedded in a guided tour along Igishigishigi Trail. Taking
this tour, a specialized Park Guide will not only show you the forest canopy but also explain why
it is an integral part of the tropical rainforest ecosystem, after the driver guide will take you back
to hotel for overnight.
Overnight stay at Nyungwe Top Hill View. (Meal plan: Bed and Breakfast
After Breakfast, you will head into the tea plantations with your guides for yet a memorable
experience. After breakfast you will have a guided tour of Gisakura Tea plantation and factory. Tea is
Rwanda’s largest export, and you can see it in the landscape. Tea leaves cover the mountains and
give a dark green contrast to the blue skies, dirt roads and sunshine, from there you will go back
to hotel for your lunch and drive back to Kigali as the end of tour
