TOUR-OVERVIEW:
This is a 17 days and 16 nights private Tour of Uganda designed for Travellers who want to have a complete experience of Uganda starting from The Source of the Nile in jinja, then to the Northern part of the country visiting National Parks like Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Mburo National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for Gorilla Trekking. The program is suitable for all age groups apart from the 15 year age-limit for gorilla trekking and chimpanzee trekking.Â
Itinerary
At your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company guide and transfer to Hotel for dinner and overnight. Accommodation Options:

After an early-morning breakfast, transfer from Entebbe to jinja, it’s a short 3 hour transfer depending on traffic conditions, arrival and private boat excursion to the source of the Nile. Lunch. In the evening we can do activities like quad biking or horse riding or cycling, free time at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Hotel. Lemala Wildwaters Lodge is a luxurious lodge located in Jinja, on the banks of the River Nile. It offers a unique blend of comfort and nature, with beautifully designed chalets and breath-taking views of the river. The lodge is known for its serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and for those seeking adventure, and outdoor activities like white-water rafting, boat tours, and bird watching.
Breakfast, for this day, we do the white water rafting on River Nile, the activity is approximately half day and lunch is included. In the evening optional activities in Jinja or free evening at lodge with dinner included. Accommodation Options:

After an early morning breakfast, transfer towards the north of the country, stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a nature walk and possible lunch en route. After proceed to Gulu City, located in the northern region of Uganda, and it serves as an administrative and commercial centre of the Gulu District. Possible visit of Gulu city. Dinner and overnight at Lodge. Accommodation Options:

Note: The transfer from Entebbe to Gulu is about 370km and it’s a full day transfer with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

After proceed to Gulu City, located in the northern region of Uganda, and it serves as an administrative and commercial centre of the Gulu District. Possible visit of Gulu city. After breakfast, we go for a whole day cultural tour in the communities in Kidepo Valley National Park. Today we take with us packed lunch from the lodge and we return in the evening for Dinner and overnight at Lodge. Accommodation Options:

Luxury: Apoka Safari Lodge / Apoka Safari Lodge Several communities live around and within Kidepo National Park and these include the Karimojongs , ik , Pokot and Naporee. The Karimojong are the largest ethnic group in the region and they are primarily pastoralists (livestock herders), depending heavily on cattle, goats, and sheep for their livelihood. Livestock are not only a source of food (milk and meat) but also hold significant cultural value as a form of wealth and social status. They have distinct cultural practices, including traditional dances, songs, and rituals. The Karimojong society is organized around clans and age sets, with roles based on age and gender. Warriors play a vital role in protecting their herds from external threats, such as rustlers from neighbouring groups.
After breakfast, transfer towards Murchison Falls National Park with lunch en route. In the evening, arrival and possible evening game drive in the Northern part of the park. It is also possible to visit the top of the Falls this evening. Dinner and overnight at lodge. Accommodation Options:

Murchison Falls National Park, located in the north-western part of Uganda, is the country's largest national park, covering about 3,893 square kilometres. It is renowned for its breath-taking landscapes, incredible wildlife, and the famous Murchison Falls, which lie on the Victoria Nile River. The park is part of the larger Murchison Falls Conservation Area, which also includes protected areas like the Bugungu and Karuma Wildlife Reserves.
Established in 1952, Murchison Falls National Park has become a top destination for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and adventure seekers alike. The park's rich biodiversity includes elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous species of antelopes. Additionally, it's a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 450 bird species, including the rare shoebill.
Full-Board. Early morning breakfast and morning photographic game drive in Murchison Falls National Park in search of animals like lions, buffalos, Uganda kobs, waterbuck and bush buck etc. Return to lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we do a boat excursion to the base of the water falls. This is an excellent time to spot animals like crocodiles, hippopotamus, elephants many bird species and reptiles. Dinner and overnight at lodge. Accommodation Options:

After breakfast, transfer towards the Southwestern part of Uganda along a tarmac road towards Kibale Forest. Lunch en route and stopovers included. Evening walk to the crater lakes.
Kibale National Forest is located in Western Uganda in Kabarole district, it covers an area of about 353km sq and an altitude of about 1,100m – 2,600m. Apart from the chimpanzees, kibale forest also is home to other primate species like Olive baboons, black-and-White Colobus Monkeys ,red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys and many mammals like Forest Elephants, buffalos etc.
Note: The distance between Kampala and Kibale Forest is around 350 km and 5 hrs drive.
Dinner and overnight at Lodge. Accommodation Options:

After breakfast, go for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. The activity starts at 0800hrs with a briefing from the rangers and local guides. Depending on the availability, chimpanzee trekking can be done in the morning or midday. Return to lodge for lunch. After lunch we do a community walk in Kibale then short transfer to Kasese near Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Lodge. Accommodation Options:

Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in the southwestern part of Uganda, is one of the country's most popular and diverse wildlife reserves. It spans over 1,978 square kilometres and is known for its stunning landscapes, including savannahs, wetlands, and tropical forests.
The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and a wide range of bird species.
Breakfast and early-morning photographic game drive in the Northern part of Queen Elizabeth National park, returm to lodge for lunch and refreshment. In the afternoon we do the magnificent boat excursion along Kazinga Channel, this offers us another opportunity to view wild animals as they graze along the banks of the channel. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation Options:

After an early morning breakfast, transfer to Ishasha sector of the park, a short 2 hour transfer. We go for another short game drive in Ishasha and return to lodge in Ishasha for lunch. After lunch transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Lake Bunyonyi is a freshwater lake located in southwestern Uganda, near the border with Rwanda. The lake is a popular tourist destination due to its tranquil environment, clear waters, and rich cultural heritage. It's the second deepest lake in Uganda, with depths of up to 44 meters (144 feet). Dinner and overnight at lodge.
After breakfast, we do a boat excursion on Lake Bunyonyi, then proceed with our transfer to Bwindi, en route we visit the Bawta, ‘Pygmies, the Batwa are an indigenous ethnic group primarily found in the forests of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Historically, the Batwa were intimately connected with the forest, relying on it for food, medicine, shelter, and their lived in. Dinner and overnight at lodge. Accommodation Options:

After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the briefing Centre for a short briefing from the rangers which starts at 0800 hours. Clients take with them packed lunch, bottled water, gloves, surgical face masks, walking sticks and a porter is included. After trekking return to lodge.
Evening is free time at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at selected lodge. Accommodation Options:

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located in southwestern Uganda, near the borders of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is one of the most biologically diverse and ecologically significant rainforests in the world, covering about 321 square kilometres of rugged terrain.
It is home to approximately half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, making it a prime destination for gorilla trekking. In addition to gorillas, Bwindi is rich in wildlife, including other primates, birds, reptiles, and a variety of plant species, many of which are endemic to the region.
Gorilla Trekking can be carried out in one of the allocated sectors Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga y Nkuringo. It is also advisable to take a porter for only USD 20.

Breakfast. Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, lunch en route in Mbarara. In the evening we do a game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. Optional: Night game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. Accommodation Options:

Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda’s smallest National Park Located in Kiruhura District near Mbarara City only 240km from Kampala, a perfect stopover from Bwindi Impenetrabe. It's a home to 350 bird species as well as zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, oribi, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck. Together with 13 other lakes in the area, Lake Mburo is a perfect destination for game drives and a birding paradise.
Breakfast, we go for a short game drive in the park and then choose between a nature walk in the park or a boat excursion in Lake Mburo. Return to lodge for lunch and transfer to Entebbe.
Note: The activities today depend on the time available and departure flight for the clients.
The distance from Lake Mburo National Park to Entebbe is 360km and approximated drive time is 5 hours.
